Remediation audit and implementation of measures – Brückner Werke KG – Food producer

The Brückner Group consists of three legally independent companies with a consolidated external turnover of around EUR 100 million and more than 350 employees. The Brückner Group is a producer of herbs, dried vegetables, and fruits. High losses within one company of the group, resulting from necessary valuation adjustments, made a reorganization audit of this family business in the food sector necessary. In the process, suitable measures were to be developed to increase earnings and sustainably secure the company’s existence.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned objectives, specific individual opportunities and risks were examined with regard to their impact on earnings and liquidity, and earnings generation analyses were carried out. The investigation was carried out in a 5 to 6-week analysis and concept phase in accordance with the above objectives.
- With the aid of the development of a professional competitive strategy, professional purchasing, and adjustments to operational structures in sales and administration, a significant increase in EBT was forecast in the first planning year.
- The result achieved (EBT) in the first planning year was above the planned value and thus significantly above the expected result without the measures initiated by HANSE.
- A site closure to improve earnings and the introduction of a private label were pushed through in the implementation period.
