Restructuring expert opinion according to IDW S6 standard – ELAC – Consumer goods

ELAC Electroacoustic GmbH generated sales of around EUR 10 million and employed 47 people in the financial years under review. An imminent liquidity crisis due to losses in the previous financial years and insufficient sales/contribution margins for the necessary structural costs caused the involved credit institutions to request the preparation of a reorganization report according to IDW S6 standard with the focus on the development of suitable measures to sustainably secure the company’s existence. ELAC commissioned HANSE Consulting with the preparation of such an expert opinion.

In the course of the preparation of the remediation report, the following activities were carried out in an analysis and concept phase lasting approx. 5 weeks

• Validation and further development of the corporate strategy,
• Illumination of the company processes (productive as well as organizational) along the entire value chain
• Structured market analysis incl. execution of an expert survey (editors, contact persons at associations, managing directors or leading employees of electrical stores as well as electrical superstores in Germany)
• Actual and target calculations of the company’s key figures as well as an assessment
