DDIM Kongress 2021 – Impulse lecture: The renaissance of business model analysis and strategy review in the crisis?

Andreas Lau, Managing Director of HANSE Interim and HANSE Consulting, gave a keynote speech at this year’s DDIM Congress on the renaissance of business model analysis and strategy review in the crisis.

The keynote speech draws a comparison between the Lehman crisis and the Corona crisis. Because after the Lehman crisis, financiers started to massively expand industry expertise as many companies were in distress. The thinking was: if all companies in an industry were doing badly, the relatively best companies (champions) had to be filtered out for further financing. Interim managers and consultants alike were intensely challenged to present a convincing business model and strategy review for the financing review. We are facing the same challenge after the Corona crisis!
